Project Timelines

The National Highways Authority of India awarded the contract of 4-lanning to DRA Daltonganj Highway Pvt. Ltd. on 31st October 2022. An SPV DRA Daltonganj Highway Pvt. Ltd. was formed for execution of the said Project. The agreement for the said Project was signed on 16th January 2023 between NHAI and DRA Daltonganj Highway Pvt. Ltd. Subsequently, joint Memorandum was signed and the Appointed Date was finalized on 09-11-2023 vide Authority letter No. NHAI/11012//JH/NH 75 (Sec-III)/2023-24/Eoffice-6337dated 09-11-2023 with its Scheduled Completion Date on 07-11 2025 i.e., 730 days from the Appointed Date.

Location and Usability

NH-75 (now NH-39) is an important highway which originates from Ranchi, state capital of Jharkhand and traversing through the towns of Daltonganj, Garhwa, Renukut, Shaktinagar, Sidhi, Rewa, Satna, Panna, Chhatarpur, finally terminates at Jhansi. In its total route length of 869 km, 260.660 km are in Jharkhand and remaining lengths are in the state of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. NH- 75 provides a connectivity to the people residing in the districts of Garhwa, Daltonganj, Latehar, Chatra and Lohardaga to Ranchi apart from providing an alternate route to Varanasi. Upon completion of 4-lanning section in Jharkhand state, it will provide a faster travel option to the places such as Varanasi, Prayagraj, industrial towns of Renukut and Anpara and other destinations. The 4-lanning of instant Package-III from Bhogu Village to Sankha from existing km.148+020 to km. 197+420 and design Ch. 147+540 to 196+870 is 49.33 km, which originates at a place Bhoghu near Daltonganj and having passed through the blocks of Medininagar, Pandwa, Nawabazar and finally ends at Bishrampur. Upon completion of this highway, inter connectivity between the states Chattisgarh & Jharkhand will be improved, which shall increase the economic condition of the district. Garhwa is one of the low-income districts of the state, where people mainly live on agriculture and forest products, they can take their agricultural products to the nearby cities, getting good price for their produces, which on other hand help in increasing their overall income.

Features

There are two bypasses proposed at Polpol (4280 m long) and at Daltonganj (11,120 m long) which passes through the agricultural land,11 minor bridges, 3VUPs, 2 LVUPs and 38 Box culverts of various sizes in the Project Highways. There are service roads provided in the inhabited area along the Highway, Bus Bay and wayside amenities were also provided. Upon completion, the Project Highway shall not only provide a fast connectivity but an improved safer connectivity as well. Completion of this project shall see an improvement of socio-economic condition of the people of the district and to the state at large.]
