Location and Usability
NH-75 (now NH-39) is an important highway which originates from Ranchi, state capital of
Jharkhand and traversing through the towns of Daltonganj, Garhwa, Renukut, Shaktinagar, Sidhi,
Rewa, Satna, Panna, Chhatarpur, finally terminates at Jhansi. In its total route length of 869 km,
260.660 km are in Jharkhand and remaining lengths are in the state of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya
Pradesh. NH- 75 provides a connectivity to the people residing in the districts of Garhwa, Daltonganj,
Latehar, Chatra and Lohardaga to Ranchi apart from providing an alternate route to Varanasi.
Upon completion of 4-lanning section in Jharkhand state, it will provide a faster travel option to the
places such as Varanasi, Prayagraj, industrial towns of Renukut and Anpara and other destinations.
The 4-lanning of instant Package-III from Bhogu Village to Sankha from existing km.148+020 to km.
197+420 and design Ch. 147+540 to 196+870 is 49.33 km, which originates at a place Bhoghu near
Daltonganj and having passed through the blocks of Medininagar, Pandwa, Nawabazar and finally
ends at Bishrampur. Upon completion of this highway, inter connectivity between the states
Chattisgarh & Jharkhand will be improved, which shall increase the economic condition of the
district. Garhwa is one of the low-income districts of the state, where people mainly live on
agriculture and forest products, they can take their agricultural products to the nearby cities,
getting good price for their produces, which on other hand help in increasing their overall income.
